KIPPENDAVIE OWNERS & RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION AGM 2008 - 7.45 pm, Monday 27th October 2008
Monday, 13 October 2008 12:27

Owners, residents, friends, neighbours, and anyone else who lives in Kellie Wynd, Ramsay Drive or Robertson Road. Our, now firmly established, AGM will take place on Monday 27th October at 7.45pm in the Leighton Room of the Dunblane Cathedral Halls (for regulars, that’s the same place as always as we’re creatures of habit!). The idea is to bring everyone up to date with the work being done by the committee, particularly with regard to Greenbelt issues before we receive their bills.

As well as providing you with information, the meeting gives residents the opportunity to provide the committee with your views regarding things you would like to see that perhaps aren’t currently being done. As always, the committee positions will be open for your endorsement and additional volunteers would be much appreciated!

Whilst we don’t have a representative from Greenbelt coming along this year, its worthwhile noting that, although they (Greenbelt) get really bad publicity from a large number of other estates they factor, we have a relatively good rapport which allows us to get things done, albeit sometimes slower than we would all like! This has to be better than constantly having to battle Greenbelt, whether collectively or as individual households.

As special guest speaker this year we are hoping to have Councillor David Goss who represents our ward within Stirling Council, and we continue to make all efforts to get our local Community Police Constable to come along too.

Can I remind everyone that the Association infrastructure requires a proper mandate to continue to operate, and whilst we had a quorate meeting last year, we were somewhat dependant on proxy votes. A good turnout allows the committee to speak confidently on behalf of the Association, so we would ask that wherever possible, your household is represented. We look forward to seeing you all there on the night and promise to finish by around 9.30, or at least adjourn to the Tappit Hen for post meeting notes!!
